The Integrated Psychiatry Winterthur (IPW) is located in a historic building, completed in 1818. The extension of the attic room, the site of the color intervention. The color concept underlying the symmetrical castle architecture, strictly based on harmonies. Harmony here being, an expression of «mental health». Harmonies, balanced between left and right, above and below. A continuous hue accompanying the passerby, passing, along the corridor.
Wading through a chest-high wall strip in reed green, walking on sandy ground – dune sliding, sinking at the Wadden Sea. Sanitary facilities in hydro blue hues, H2O in meeting rooms, characteristically attic architecture with roof slopes and window niches divided surfaces of light and shadow, harmonized.
